As Project Procurement Manager (m/f/d), you will primarily be responsible for building, qualifying and maintaining a reliable network of subcontractors, EPCs and specialist service providers for the implementation of BESS projects.
The medium‑term focus of the role is on procuring and managing external services in the project environment, particularly for Balance of Plant (BoP), assembly/installation, electrical trades, civil works, grid connection, protection systems, integration and commissioning.
Conduct project-related tenders for services and trades in the BESS environment
Support price, contract and commercial negotiations with subcontractors and service providers
Contribute to the development and maintenance of framework agreements, price lists and procurement standards
Evaluate potential partners for delivery capability, quality, response time and project fit
Work closely with Operations, Engineering and Project Management on scope of work, interfaces and procurement priorities
Define, manage and report relevant procurement KPIs
Maintain contract and procurement documentation in the ERP system
Prospectively support the development of component procurement for core BESS trades and main components
Requirements
Several years of professional experience in procurement, sourcing or partner management in a project-driven environment, ideally in electrical engineering, construction, energy, building services (TGA), industry or EPC
Experience in acquiring, qualifying and managing subcontractors, service providers or project partners
Good understanding of project-based tendering, scope definition and contractual fundamentals
Confident in price and commercial negotiations and in evaluating service provider proposals
Structured, pragmatic and data-driven way of working
Clear, professional communication and ability to work independently
Experience in accurate maintenance of procurement and contract data
Technical basic understanding in electrical or infrastructure project environments is an advantage
Initial exposure to BESS, energy projects or EPC structures is an advantage
German at least C1, English at least B2
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to a reasonable extent
