Own the backend that powers SCRL across iOS, Android, and our upcoming web platform
Work on bigger architectural decisions with our CTO and Head of Data, and on new features together with the frontend team during sprints
Build and maintain the APIs and services that deliver content to millions of users
Design systems that scale as we grow, without scaling our costs at the same rate
Own our PostgreSQL database and how we store and serve content
Build scalable and cost-efficient systems for storing and delivering images and creative assets using AWS and S3
Make sure premium status stays in sync across iOS, Android, and web
Implement proper security and access control, and ensure GDPR compliance.

Several years of experience building and operating backend systems in production
Strong foundations in TypeScript and PostgreSQL
Experience working with cloud infrastructure on AWS or GCP
Experience building systems that have scaled in terms of users, traffic, or complexity
Comfortable being a senior voice in discussions around architecture, tradeoffs, and long-term platform decisions.
