Drive the sales performance of the Traction Division for Railway and Mobile e Power for America.
Participate in sales strategy discussions, assigning goals and negotiating sales budgets and marketing plans.
Manage the sales team in the Americas Region, reporting directly to the Global Head of Sales Traction.
Responsible for Topline for all the Traction Business Lines.
Take overall responsibility for all the offers in the region; Contract / Risk versus Opportunity, Project Calculation, market Pricing, profitable growth.
Assist the sales team and customers throughout the sales process.
Identify customer needs and competitors’ offerings through market studies to ensure effective marketing and communication of value propositions.
Conduct market intelligence, early identification, and capturing of upcoming opportunities.
Conduct sales performance reviews, propose recovery plans for potential order shortfalls, and produce sales reports to assist in production planning.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in technical and/or business discipline and combined 15+ years of experience in direct sales and sales management positions.
Previous experience working as an international Sales Manager in a Global Company.
Technical knowledge of Traction Products and Systems and Rail Applications and projects.
Experience in business development, account management and cross-selling.
An understanding of contract negotiations, risk management, and commercial and legal terms.
Exceptional spoken and written communication skills in English, negotiating skills, a customer-focused mindset.
Market knowledge for Rolling Stock and/or Mobile e Power.
This role requires 30% domestic and international travel across the United States, Canada, Mexico and South America requiring a Valid US Drivers’ License and US Passport.
Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
