Communicating financial liability with patients prior to their scheduled appointments.
Inbound and outbound patient calls, accepting payments, and pre-registering patient accounts.
Communicating with clinical providers when required.

Providing patients with cost estimates and explaining financial information to patient and staff.

Collecting and documenting patient and guarantor information accurately across systems.
Attempting to collect payment in advance of services, processing payments, reconciling accounts.

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare or related setting such as hospital, clinic, medical office, or in business service/revenue cycle.
Preferred – Associates Degree or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare.
Proficiency in Windows-based applications, EPIC, and accurate data entry/keyboard skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally;
Familiar with insurance benefits, authorizations, billing processes, and regulatory guidelines.
Able to stay calm and professional in stressful situations; strong problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Good organizational, time management, and conflict resolution skills.
Works well with others, uses good judgement, maintains confidentiality, and can work independently.
