Role Overview
- Support of business development activities in conjunction with Business Managers
- Responsible for developing services and a market presence that supports the company’s strategy
- Responsible for managing bids, including directing work on bids undertaken by technical staff at all levels within bid / project teams
- Management of large and/or complex projects across your defence domain sector
- Providing engineering knowledge and leadership across the team, including defining engineering strategies for live projects and identified opportunities, and providing support to junior engineers
Requirements
- Extensive experience and sector knowledge across defence aerospace or maritime
- Effective stakeholder engagement skills, including influence at executive level
- Air programmes and environments such as GCAP, Typhoon, P-8
- Uncrewed air systems (UAS) and advanced autonomous technologies
- Submarine programmes such as Dreadnought or SSNA
- Exposure to ship/air integration or maritime aviation operations
- Background in high-pressure operational delivery environments
- Working with major UK defence OEMs
- Experience shaping defence policy, strategy, or capability planning
