Lead the development and execution of security architecture strategies, roadmaps, and reference models across enterprise and product environments, aligned to business priorities
Define and evolve security architecture frameworks, standards, and patterns, applying SABSA principles to support scalable and business-aligned outcomes
Serve as a senior technical advisor to leadership, translating complex risks into clear mentorship and influencing multi-functional decisions
Oversee architectural governance by reviewing and guiding designs across the organization to ensure alignment with security, regulatory, and operational requirements
Partner with engineering and product teams to evaluate and implement security technologies, promoting secure-by-design principles
Ensure security capabilities are integrated and continuously improved to address evolving threats and business needs
Lead cross-functional efforts on complex security initiatives, applying sound judgment and practical problem-solving
Contribute to the creation and refinement of security policies, standards, and guidelines to strengthen overall maturity
Engage with senior stakeholders to align on priorities, communicate risk, and support key security initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity desired or a related field. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in information security, with at least 4 years in an Enterprise Security Architect role.
Relevant certifications, such as CISSP or SABSA are highly desirable.
Good understanding of network build, client/server architecture and cloud security across multiple cloud providers
Familiarity with SABSA (Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture) framework is desirable.
Understanding of security technologies, standards, and frameworks, including NIST.
Proven blend of technical cybersecurity expertise and strong business insight, capable of translating complex security concepts into clear, actionable risk insights for diverse collaborators
Demonstrable ability to collaborate across teams to support security initiatives through a pragmatic, risk-based approach
Experience with threat modeling and developing architecture documentation and designs.
Must be able to develop presentations tailored for technical and non-technical audiences.
Clear and effective communication skills, paired with the ability to foster positive relationships and coordinate well with various groups.
Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking to craft innovative solutions to complex security challenges.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proven experience in working with a geographically dispersed team.
