Assist the onshore paralegal team with all phases of commercial litigation, from pre-suit through trial and appeal
Draft, format, proofread, and finalize legal documents including complaints, answers, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and stipulations
Prepare and organize exhibits, binders, and supporting documentation for hearings, depositions, and trial
Monitor case deadlines and docketing to ensure no filing or response date is missed
Support the commercial collections department in managing a high-volume portfolio of collection matters
Draft and prepare collection-related pleadings including complaints, default judgment motions, writs of garnishment, and writs of execution
Track the status of active collection cases from filing through judgment and post-judgment enforcement
Prepare and process correspondence to debtors, opposing parties, and courts as directed
Assist with the preparation and organization of documentation related to accounts receivable, judgments, and payment records
Coordinate with clients and internal team members on collection status updates and case activity
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and records across all assigned matters
Track court deadlines, statute of limitations dates, hearing dates, and response deadlines using the firm's docketing and case management systems
Flag upcoming deadlines to the supervising attorney and onshore paralegal team with sufficient lead time
Organize and maintain digital case files in a consistent, retrievable format
Assist with the preparation and organization of discovery including interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, and responses
Review and organize document productions and assist with privilege log preparation
Coordinate with e-discovery vendors or internal teams for document review and production as needed
Prepare deposition summaries, chronologies, and witness outlines as directed
Provide reliable, organized support to the onshore paralegal and attorney teams to reduce administrative burden and improve workflow efficiency
Handle client communication and correspondence as directed and within defined scope
Assist with intake of new matters including opening files, conflict checks, and initial documentation
Perform other paralegal and legal administrative tasks as assigned by supervising attorneys or the onshore paralegal team
Requirements
2 or more years of paralegal experience in a litigation setting — commercial litigation or collections experience is strongly preferred
Experience drafting legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence
Familiarity with commercial collections processes including post-judgment enforcement is a significant advantage
Excellent written communication skills — your documents are accurate, well-organized, and require minimal revision
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills — you manage deadline-driven work across multiple matters without error
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while maintaining close coordination with an onshore team
