Responsible for the supervision of staff including appraisals, planning and directing their work, approving leave, having the authority for hiring, and taking disciplinary action or effectively recommending such actions
Determines nutrition risk eligibility of clients in accordance with DHM 150-24
Documents services provided in accordance with State WIC Office documentation guidelines
Provides individual nutrition education contacts, adapts nutrition education content based on need of the client using the VENA concept
Refers clients to appropriate outside agency and assigns appropriate food packages
Protects, promotes, and supports breastfeeding; assures local site reflects a Breastfeeding Friendly atmosphere
Completes assigned administrative projects and reports in a timely fashion
Requirements
Bachelor's or master's degree from a US accredited College or University in nutritional science, community nutrition, clinical nutrition, dietetics, or public health nutrition
