Own and evolve the enterprise activation AI strategy, with accountability for AI eco-system governance, platform, tool, and model activation, and end-to-end value optimization
Assess, shape the existing AI vendor, and platform landscape to identify value optimization opportunities aligned to business priorities, enterprise constraints, and security requirements
Define pragmatic governance, operating models, and guardrails that enable responsible AI adoption without creating unnecessary friction
Establish frameworks to measure usage, risk, and optimization opportunities across our enterprise landscape and our workforce
Monitor emerging AI technologies, market developments, and vendor roadmaps to inform strategic decisions and maintain competitive advantage
Partner with business leaders to enable decisioning and to connect this to enterprise IT execution
Act as a trusted advisor rather than a reactive order taker
Work within, and orchestrate across, IT and cybersecurity teams to reduce unnecessary friction while working within a risk tolerant framework appropriate to address the business needs
Design and promote pragmatic AI governance models that drive low process friction and high AI adoption
Balance speed, innovation, and security in decision-making
Drive cultural change within IT toward a consultative, business-enabling mindset
Challenge legacy control-driven behaviors that limit innovation
Influence stakeholders across multiple levels without relying solely on authority
Educate business and IT teams on AI opportunities, risks, and mitigation strategies
Requirements
Deep knowledge of leading AI platforms (e.g., OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, AWS, Anthropic, etc.) and their enterprise applications
8–12+ years in IT, digital transformation, or technology consulting
Proven experience implementing AI or advanced analytics solutions in an enterprise environment
Strong understanding of enterprise IT operations and cybersecurity practices
Experience in professional services or consulting environments (highly preferred)
Deep familiarity with the AI ecosystem (LLMs, copilots, automation tools, etc.)
Strong ability to navigate and influence complex organizations
Excellent communication skills—able to translate between technical and business audiences
Experience designing governance frameworks that enable rather than block innovation
Change agent mindset with a bias for action
Pragmatic rather than dogmatic about risk and controls
Comfortable challenging the status quo constructively
High credibility with both technical and business stakeholders.
