Role Overview
- Develops or leads estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design, build, and aftermarket support stages of the program
- Develops, prepares and validates estimates and prices
- Evaluates requests for proposal, substantiates estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals
- Develops estimating and pricing methods
- Evaluates and develops business cases
- Performs analysis and provides recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)
- Develops and maintains pricing models
- Develops/applies/maintains rates and factors for estimating, pricing and proposals
- Performs compliance activities including providing compliant cost volumes
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in a finance-related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)
- Experience with Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) requirements / U.S. Government contracts
- 3+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of United States Government Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Experience performing parametric estimates and data analysis
- Experience performing substantiated quick-turn (1-2 weeks) Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates and tests of reasonableness
