Overseeing all aspects of payroll processing for a multi-state employee population
Leading a team of payroll professionals
Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations
Developing and implementing payroll strategies that align with company goals
Managing relationships with external payroll providers, tax authorities, and other relevant vendors
Overseeing the accurate and timely processing of weekly and semi-monthly payroll for all employees
Managing all payroll tax filings, including federal, state, local income taxes, and Canada/providences
Ensuring accurate and timely processing of all payroll deductions
Overseeing year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and reconciliation
Managing and resolving complex payroll issues, discrepancies, and employee inquiries

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration
Master’s degree is preferred
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) required
Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in payroll management
At least 5 years in a leadership/director-level role for a large organization (5,000+ employees)
In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
Experience with major payroll/HRIS systems is essential
