Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring strict adherence to EPA, OSHA, environmental, and legal regulations while promoting the Hydro Zero accident standard.
Plan, implement, and monitor production schedules to meet customer deadlines and optimize plant capacity.
Enforce rigorous quality control standards to ensure finished aluminum products meet or exceed industry standards.
Recruit, lead, train, and mentor staff to foster a culture of high performance and safety.
Develop and manage the plant operating budget, including tracking key financial metrics (KPIs) and managing labor and maintenance costs, including budgets and capital requests.
Oversee maintenance and technological upgrades of machinery to ensure long-term reliability and minimize downtime.
Provide strategic direction for daily manufacturing activities to exceed customer expectations for quality and delivery.
Oversee complex aluminum-specific equipment such as extrusion presses, fabricating center.
Drive operational excellence using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S methodologies to reduce waste and improve efficiency (OEE).
Requirements
Minimum of ten years in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum of five years within extrusion press or cast planning.
Minimum of eight years of people leadership experience with formal training.
HSD or GED.
Deep knowledge & experience in Lean manufacturing.
Proficiency in ERP systems.
Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14011, and IATF certifications.
Travel up to 15%.
French & English required, Bi-Lingual Preferred.
Bachelor’s degree Major(s): Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or a related degree or equivalent experience.
