About this role
Role Overview
Ensure the coherence, quality and performance of IT projects, while guiding the organization toward increased maturity and flexibility adapted to technological and regulatory challenges.
Governance and methodological oversight: Define and maintain standards, processes and tools related to project management and the project portfolio. Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and best practices. Support accountability and transparency to decision-making bodies.
Support for project managers and teams: Provide methodological guidance (waterfall, agile, hybrid). Advise on planning, estimation and risk management. Facilitate cross-project coordination and dependency management.
Portfolio management and organizational capacity: Contribute to project prioritization based on strategic objectives. Monitor resource capacity and anticipate needs. Produce executive dashboards for senior management.
Quality assurance and continuous improvement: Conduct project management compliance audits. Identify lessons learned and recommend improvements. Promote a culture of project management maturity.
Requirements
Hold a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Business Administration with a specialization in Organizational Information Systems (OIS), or equivalent.
Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in information technology.
Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience as a project management advisor in a government organizational environment comparable to or larger than the client’s, including having: performed project management quality assurance; implemented or evolved a project and portfolio management framework; advised and supported project managers and program directors in the management of their projects.
Asset: Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience as an IT project manager (information resources) in a systems development context within a government organizational environment comparable to or larger than the client’s.
