Claims Adjuster, Transport & Cargo

Role Overview

• Primarily handle out-of-province automobile claims
• Handle transport and cargo claims by phone and in the field
• Inspect and determine the extent of damage
• Negotiate claim settlements on behalf of insurance companies or policyholders
• Collect statements from policyholders and/or witnesses/third parties
• Investigate facts and circumstances to determine cause and liability
• Provide well-founded recommendations to clients
• Support business development by regularly meeting with existing clients
• Perform duties in accordance with established work standards, policies, and procedures

Requirements

• Valid AMF claims adjuster license — Class 5A
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in claims settlement; experience with automobile claims
• Valid driver's license
• Strong negotiation skills and effective time management
• Team player with a strong customer service orientation
