Role Overview
- Drive strategic risk mitigation outcomes across Sun Life's global operations
- Own the Corporate Risk Insurance department's performance
- Formulate forward-thinking strategies, contingency plans, and risk mitigation frameworks
- Own successful delivery of Property & Casualty and Financial Lines insurance programmes
- Serve as authoritative internal advisor to key stakeholders on insurance and risk management matters
- Manage stakeholder relationships with decision authority
- Conduct technical oversight and provide authoritative guidance
Requirements
- Proven ability to think critically and strategically
- Demonstrated experience developing risk mitigation strategies
- Canadian Risk Management (CRM) or Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation, or completion of insurance courses would be an asset
- Expert knowledge of insurance and risk management concepts acquired through formal academic training and/or four (4) years relevant experience
- Working knowledge of financial institution operations, real estate investments, operational risk, law, and accounting
- Well-developed judgment, problem-solving ability, and capacity to think critically
