Role Overview
Lead end-to-end legal support for major capital projects across APAC, from early development and procurement strategy through contracting, execution, claims, and closeout
Draft and negotiate complex agreements, including EPC/EPCM, design-build, construction management, consulting, procurement, and supply contracts
Advise on project risks and strategy, including delay exposure, change orders, performance security, defects/warranty, and dispute avoidance/resolution
Partner with business stakeholders (procurement, engineering, project teams) to structure tenders, manage risk, and develop contracting templates and playbooks
Support regional project development matters, including land, permitting, and regulatory coordination with local counsel
Manage external counsel across APAC, ensuring pragmatic, high-quality advice aligned to business objectives
Track legal/regulatory developments and translate them into practical guidance for project teams
Requirements
Qualified lawyer (8+ years) with strong experience in construction, infrastructure, or major capital projects (EPC/EPCM preferred)
Proven track record advising on complex industrial or technical projects, with hands-on experience in live-project issues (delays, claims, variations, disputes)
Strong drafting, negotiation, and commercial judgment, with the ability to deliver pragmatic advice to diverse stakeholders
Familiarity with FIDIC or equivalent frameworks, including security of payment/adjudication regimes and broader APAC construction law practices
