Reporting to the Global Sourcing Category Director, the Sr. Manager Indirect Ops – is a highly strategic role in the Global Indirect Supply Management team.
To be successful in this role, this leader will support the Global Supply Chain and Global Facilities management team’s journey to drive efficiencies within Europe working with our stakeholders in Operations and Security Guard Services.
This role will work with multiple internal C-level executives, operations and supply chain leaders, plant managers, finance and communications leaders to institute significant change within the SBD to move to drive the Power of One SBD.
Key sub-categories include MRO, Facilities and Office Supplies. It may include subcategories such as Plant and Corporate hard and soft services, corporate printer and mailroom management, Real estate, General Industrial distribution MRO parts, Tooling, Specialty MRO purchases such as Lubricants, Chemicals etc.
This role will also be responsible for overseeing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) value creation for these categories through a combination of productivity, quality, innovation, service excellence, risk management and margin resiliency.
Specifically, you’ll: Develop global sourcing strategies delivering value against productivity, service, quality and Innovation
Support Procurement Operations organization on Projects implementations drive by your strategies and initiatives
Lead, coach and motivate team to hit Balanced scorecard metrics
Conduct strategic spend analytics to identify opportunities for Value delivery
Responsible for managing the relationship and setting expectations with our Preferred Suppliers
Supplier selection and negotiation process within SBD’s EMEA Region
Track performance within each applicable spend category and define budgetary impact
Build sustainable business partnerships with internal stakeholders and strategic suppliers
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree. MBA preferred.
6 to 10 years of strategic sourcing with experience driving change within matrixed organizations
3 to 5+ years of experience in at least 2 of the categories being MRO mandatory: MRO, Facilities, Utilities, Professional Services.
1-3 Years of People leadership responsibility
Progressive views of the future of work and its impact on facilities design
Proven experience developing, selling and implementing category strategies in a matrixed large organization environment
Change leader
ability to adapt to changing conditions and identify creative solutions that add value
Depth of experience in managing supplier relationships and identifying when to insource/outsource
Demonstrated ability to manage complex commercial and contractual negotiations and ongoing supplier performance management/scorecards.
Experience in advanced sourcing techniques and tools, and supplier management
Proficiency in conducting market analysis, cost modeling and financial risk management
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, particularly at the C-level, VP and Director levels
Influencing without direct authority while being comfortable with conflict of opinions with a demonstrated track record of positive and constructive outcomes
Ability to juggle multiple priorities including the ability to stay calm even with multiple tactical workstream pressure
Must be able to travel 40% of the time.
