Develop strategic procurement solutions and complete day to day tactical purchasing functions for various spaceflight systems.
Share in the team’s impact on all aspects of supply chain operations, driving organizational and policy change to enhance Blue Origin’s bottom-line.
Ensure program requirements are appropriately prioritized and executed to meet the needs of Blue Origin.
Develop, mentor, coach, and engage the Blue Origin Supply Chain buyers and subcontract administrators.
Foster proper engagement with the program functional teams and facilitate communication of requirements and status to program and business area stakeholders.
Manage the team that places subcontracts/purchase orders of varying complexity in accordance with all regulatory and corporate compliance requirements.
Support the overall procurement organization’s strategic direction and ensure corporate strategic objectives are achieved to include delivery of production materials that are on time, within budget and meet technical performance requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, Master's degree with 3 years of experience in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related industry experience.
Experience with subcontracting of machine parts research and development, spec requirements, build to print and COTS commodities.
Significant understanding of US Government and non-US Government / Commercial acquisitions
Experienced knowledge / compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Experienced knowledge / compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS)
Experience with most Contract Types (Firm-Fixed Price, Time & Material, Cost Plus)
Experience in assessing proposal compliance (FAR 15.4)
Experienced supporting DCMA Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) events.
Strong analytical skills, data driven with experience in establishing and tracking program metrics
Must have top notch people and communication skills.
Working understanding of AS9100 standards.
Basic understanding of budgeting/expense management with a basic understanding of financial information.
