About this role
Role Overview
- Recommend, deploy and maintain IT systems, applications, and infrastructure across all sites and vessels
- Serve as Tier 2 helpdesk, supporting technical issues and project lifecycles
- Primary and sole POC for the office, supported by a team based in Seattle
- Plan and support long-term IT strategies
- Implement systems using industry best practices in compliance with CLL processes
- Deploy/manage/improve hardware, software, application, and network services
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance
- Perform audits, backups, restores, and troubleshooting
- Support application development and analyze performance
- Recommend and implement upgrades and improvements
- Document processes and configurations
- Mentor helpdesk staff and provide top-tier support
- Participate in emergency on-call schedule
Requirements
- Experience with VMWare, Azure, Entra, Meraki, Sophos, Office365
- Experience with IIS, SQL, Veeam, SharePoint
- Programming (ASP, TSQL, PowerShell, scripting)
- Hardware/software troubleshooting
- Documentation and process maintenance
- Proficient in Windows, enterprise networking, and Microsoft products
- Willing to travel to ships and shipyards
- Must pass background checks for port access
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environments
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication; customer service focus
- Research hardware/software issues and present solutions clearly
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality
