Support the preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts, including journal entries and variance analysis.
Assist with the preparation and review of revenue schedules, including deferred and accrued income, ensuring accuracy and alignment with revenue recognition policies
Prepare and maintain key balance sheet reconciliations (e.g. prepayments, accruals, intercompany, fixed assets) and resolve outstanding issues in a timely manner
Support cash and bank reporting processes, including daily reconciliations, weekly cash flash updates and month-end cash reporting
Assist with the group’s consolidation process, including sub-consolidation tasks, intercompany eliminations and group reporting pack inputs
Provide support during the annual audit cycle by preparing audit schedules and evidence packs across key accounting areas
Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and tax filings (e.g. VAT returns, corporation tax schedules), under the guidance of senior team members
Maintain and update all documentation in line with the group’s financial controls, policies, and audit requirements
Collaborate with senior accountants and financial controllers to identify and implement process improvements and strengthen internal controls
Support wider ad-hoc tasks including reporting packs, financial analysis, and finance system or process improvement initiatives
Act as a backup for critical finance processes, including revenue and month-end reporting, ensuring continuity.
Take responsibility for maintaining well-organised working files, ensuring that all accounting work is audit-ready and compliant
Actively participate in learning and development opportunities, gaining exposure to group-wide accounting, reporting, and business operations.
Requirements
Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
1–2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role (industry or practice)
Strong interest in revenue recognition, financial operations, and reporting
Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
Organised, curious, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
Confident using Excel; prior experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP BPC is a plus
A strong team player with the willingness to support others and learn from experienced professionals
