About this role
Role Overview
- Lead Commercial Contracting: take ownership of complex customer, vendor and partner agreements
- Lead and run commercial negotiations alongside Sales and senior stakeholders
- Advise on risk allocation
- Support RFP processes and strategic deal structuring
- Manage amendments, change requests and contract lifecycle matters
- Handle non-performance situations, including demand letters and termination notices
- Operate in a financial services framework and advise on outsourcing contractual implications
- Work closely with Risk & Compliance
- Develop and refine contract templates and negotiation playbooks
- Contribute to building a scalable, high-performing legal function aligned with business objectives
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (UK), Rechtsanwalt (Germany) or Abogado (Spain), admitted and in good standing
- Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience
- Experience at an internationally recognised commercial law firm or leading national firm is strongly preferred
- Demonstrable experience negotiating complex commercial agreements in the financial services sector
- Demonstrable experience leading negotiations directly with regulated financial institutions or Tier 1 banks
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Ability to independently own transactions from term sheet to signature
- Technical legal excellence is expected
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements in a commercial context
