Developing conceptual and detailed designs for new builds, renovations, or extensions
Preparing detailed reports, specifications, and drawings
Working closely with architects and other engineering disciplines (MEP, Civil) to align structural solutions with aesthetic and functional project goals
Advising on appropriate construction materials (e.g., steel, concrete, timber) based on factors like safety, cost, and environmental impact
Requirements
Minimum 4 years of experience in the structural design works for building structures (concrete and steel)
Strong knowledge on structural behaviours and decision-making proficiency on structural framing and analysis
Proficiency in software like Tekla Structural Designer, Robot Structural Analysis, or ETABS
Basic knowledge of Autodesk, Revit, BIM 360, Projectwise and functional level skills on Navisworks or revitzo
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
A Master’s degree in Structural Engineering from an accredited university
Preferred candidates working toward or holding Chartered (CEng) or Incorporated (IEng) status with the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) or the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)
