Lead and manage a team responsible for a complex, multi-channel inventory movement platform serving stores, distribution centers, and fulfillment centers.
Collaborate deeply with business stakeholders and cross-functional partners to understand end-to-end inventory movement use cases, translating them into scalable and consistent technical solutions.
Drive alignment across channels and banners to reduce complexity, retiring workarounds and legacy process layering in favor of unified, well-governed solutions.
Work with stakeholders to define and track KPIs, roadmaps, and priorities, ensuring technical investments map directly to business outcomes.
Drive cross-team collaboration to align technical strategy, manage dependencies, and ensure shared prioritization of deliverables across partner teams.
Champion visibility and traceability in inventory movement – ensuring that the state and history of inventory transitions are observable, auditable, and actionable.
Ensure teams have the tools, resources, and information needed to succeed and continuously improve.
Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, building motivated teams that deliver high-quality solutions efficiently.
Contribute to architecture, coding, test plans, project planning, deployment, and operations to ensure excellence in execution.
Promote continuous improvement by quantifying customer impact, eliminating waste, increasing productivity, and shortening feedback loops.
Champion an AI-first approach to software development – embedding AI-assisted coding, code review, and delivery practices into the team’s everyday workflow to accelerate velocity and raise the quality bar.
Requirements
6+ years of relevant work experience in software engineering
2+ years of experience managing engineering teams
The ability to quickly ramp up on complex business domains and become a trusted technical partner to non-engineering stakeholders
Proven track record of shipping well-designed, scalable systems tested for performance and reliability
Experience designing and operating distributed, event-driven systems in a cloud environment
Strong understanding of DevOps best practices, including CI/CD, monitoring, alerting, and production support
Experience with agile methodologies such as SCRUM or Kanban
BA/BS in Computer Science or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
