Role Overview
- Conduct research and analysis to evaluate business lines and programs
- Establish rates and pricing strategies for profitable premium growth
- Forecast reserve estimates quarterly and report with Finance
- Communicate findings to various departments and present analyses clearly
- Collaborate with Technical Pricing team on rating models
- Mentor less experienced actuaries and foster professional growth
- Monitor rate changes and conduct periodic pricing studies
- Represent the department on cross-functional teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in mathematics, statistics, or other analytical fields
- 3-5 years of actuarial experience preferred
- 3+ Actuarial exams passed, ideally close to or newly qualified Associate
- Commitment to pursuing Associate or Fellowship designation in the Casualty Actuarial Society
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to think critically and defend actuarial assumptions, decisions and methodologies
- Excellent organizational skills
