Senior Associate – US Indirect Tax, Sales & Use Tax Compliance

Requirements

• Atleast 2.5
• 3 years of experience in Sales & Use Tax process
• Strong knowledge on Sales & Use Tax end to end process
• Strong knowledge on various filings and payment methods and ability to articulate difference between Sales Tax, Sellers Use Tax, and Consumer Use Tax
• Processing high volume of Sales & Use Tax returns
• Good knowledge on Vertex and Anybill tax software functionalities and also utilizing automation tools
• Demonstrating a proficiency of technical skills in a wide range of sales and use tax matters,including compliance, automation, controversy and notice handling
• Leading the engagements calls
• Leading the engagements independently, identifying and addressing any client requirements
• Experience with the entire process of new clients onboarding
• Good review skill of prepared returns and online filed returns
• Good research knowledge on technical concepts and come up with the solutions
• Zero to minimal errors on the prepared and reviewed returns
• Providing automation, process efficiency ideas
• Keep up the knowledge on technical and technology developments
• Ability to train associates on SUT technical and technology
• Ability to lead multiple clients during the same period
• Active participation in S&U applications UAT and providing ideas and feedbacks
• Good oral and written communication skill
• Follow risk management and compliance process for the entire team
• Understanding the business needs and firm long term strategy
• Positive attitude and good listening skill
• Taking complete ownership of clients assigned
• Provide candid real-time feedback and work closely with team members in upskilling their knowledge
• Creating good relationship with internal and external team members
