Role Overview
- Own the technical direction and execution of a team building data infrastructure
- Manage and grow a team of 5+ data engineers
- Drive architectural decisions across the platform
- Guide the team through complex technical challenges
- Lead efforts to improve query performance and platform efficiency
- Collaborate with product managers to define and deliver the data platform roadmap
- Own the operational posture of the platform
Requirements
- 8+ years in data or software engineering
- 2+ years managing engineering teams of 5 or more
- Designing complex data systems
- Expertise in Semantic Layering and Data Sharing
- Hands-on experience with dbt and semantic models (e.g. MetricFlow)
- Strong proficiency with Snowflake and SQL
- Technical experience with Spark, Python, and Snowpark
- Hands-on experience with Cursor, Claude CLI/Code, Kibana, and Airflow
- Solid command of CI/CD practices
- Experience owning on-call processes and managing incidents
