Disability Claims Examiner – Short-Term Disability

Role Overview

• Independently manage a designated block of Disability and Absence claims
• Deliver accurate, timely, and well-reasoned claim decisions
• Serve as a trusted partner to stakeholders with clear communication
• Maintain a strong focus on customer experience
• Analyze medical, occupational, and financial information for eligibility
• Build and maintain productive customer relationships
• Meet productivity, quality, and service metrics
• Collaborate with peers and leaders while demonstrating independence

Requirements

• Open to candidates with diverse professional backgrounds
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven customer service skills
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in a Windows-based environment including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• 2–3 years of experience managing Short Term Disability and/or Absence claims preferred
• College degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience
