The Program Manager Lead holds a critical role in overseeing the comprehensive Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Infrastructure LMR System.
Managing program personnel and support staff.
Collaborating with Motorola Sales team members.
Handling pre and post-sale opportunities and proposals.
Overseeing and managing the program budget and costs.
Providing leadership and direction to Engineers, System Managers, Technologists, Cybersecurity Leads, Customer Service Managers, Quality Managers, Safety Managers, and Configuration Management personnel.
Ensuring adherence to WMATA change management processes.
Overseeing Project Managers and customer projects.
Coordinating with administrative personnel, and effectively communicating and coordinating with customers, partners, subcontractors, the WMATA project teams, and internal Motorola personnel and leadership.
Serving as the primary point of contact for the WMATA system and the supporting MSI PMO.
Responsible for converting all projects to full-time sustainment support under this program after project completion.
Ensure that the program strategic plan and goals support and adhere to Motorola strategic goals and objectives, and ensure these are clearly communicated to all team members and the program supports these goals and objectives to achieve organizational success.
Requirements
A four-year degree is required, preferably in a technical field, management, or leadership.
15 years of proven management and leadership experience in leading large systems, technical, service delivery, or operational teams, with a demonstrable track record of successful outcomes.
15 years of experience managing personnel, including hiring, firing, employee evaluations, discipline, coaching, and mentoring.
15 years of experience in positive customer relations and/or account management, with demonstrable examples of high customer satisfaction ratings based on performance and service delivery.
15 years of experience in preparing, administering, and accurately forecasting budgets.
15 years of project management experience on large, complex projects, including the development of schedules, plans, financial planning, and risk mitigation.
15 years of experience in strategic planning, goal setting, managing, tracking, and leading teams to achieve organizational goals.
PMP certification is preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
The ability to use standard business software (e.g., Google Suite, email, spreadsheets, scheduling software).
