Diagnosing machinery problems based upon vibration data, operational data, and customer communications.
Travel to customer sites to provide supporting service.
Completing timely reports that identify findings and provide recommendations to the customer.
Building relationships with customers to provide a high-level of service delivery, becoming their trusted advisor for their rotating equipment health.
Calculating and overseeing placement of balance weights.
Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures.
Requirements
Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical Engineering a plus)
Have minimum 2 years of industry experience.
Be available for extensive travel (up to 70%) and significant over-time (paid).
Possess a valid driver's license and passport (or able to obtain a passport).
Be eligible to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential).
Be eligible to travel overseas and/or work on offshore platforms on occasion.
Theoretical and practical knowledge of reliability services.
ISO certification for vibration analysis.
Demonstrated authority and assurance in dealing with people.
Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business and technical personnel.
Experience working under stressful working conditions.
Project Management skills.
Solid computer skills using MS Office software.
Mechanical trouble shooting skills.
"Hands-on approach".
Experience reading, interpreting, and understanding mechanical prints.
Knowledge of rotating machinery operation and controls systems.
Knowledge of machinery protection and management systems.
Knowledge of or experience with AT LEAST one or more of the following: mechanical vibration, rotating machinery vibration and/or diagnostics, rotodynamic analysis, PdM data acquisition/evaluation, machinery balancing and alignment.
Knowledge of Bently Nevada products and CordantTM services.
