Conduct thorough research and identify data sources on science, technology, and innovation trends
Create and clearly communicate results of analysis for distribution within and outside the department
Identify data sources and create digital and visual content that communicates policy on science, technology, and innovation issues
Additional visualizations will be presented for science diplomacy programs
Format of visualizations will be both interactive (on ISTIX) or stagnant (paper or presentations)
Work with client stakeholders and bureaus and interagency partners to ensure written and visual content on ISTIX is up to date and factually accurate
Support the onboarding and training of interagency users to the ISTIX
Assist in efforts to advance science diplomacy through various activities

Experience with US foreign affairs/policy
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the academic, private, and/or federal sectors
Expert on various platforms and applications necessary to effectively fulfill duties
Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, including follow-up on pending tasks
Proficient in MS Office, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
Ability to analyze and evaluate information derived from a variety of sources
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments with tight deadlines that often require coordination with other organizations
Meet high standards of participation and teamwork.
