Engineer – Structural Integrity

Role Overview

• Developing and maintaining structural integrity requirements and technical guidance for mechanical components
• Applying cross-disciplinary knowledge (design, materials, analysis, manufacturing, inspection) to ensure component reliability
• Contributing to structural integrity safety case development, including technical arguments and supporting evidence
• Supporting design teams to interpret and embed integrity requirements into designs
• Collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and the supply chain to deliver integrated solutions
• Supporting regulatory engagement activities through high-quality technical input
• Managing your own workload to deliver against programme, cost, and quality expectations

Requirements

• A degree or HND in a relevant engineering or technical discipline
• Experience applying structural integrity principles within complex engineering environments
• Broad understanding of pressure-retaining components and relevant design codes (e.g. ASME, EN, PED/PSSR)
• Ability to construct and present logical, evidence-based safety arguments
• Strong planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills
