Electronic Trading Risk & Control Algo Validation Manager

Role Overview

• Providing electronic trading risk expertise to enhance global risk and control framework
• Review and assess adherence to relevant electronic trading policies
• Investigating and responding to electronic trading risk issues, internal reviews and regulatory inquiries
• Performing independent real-time monitoring of algorithmic trading activity
• Assessing existing automated controls for established and emerging risks, identifying gaps and weaknesses in the control environment
• Delivering regulatory remediation in the electronic trading space
• Identifying and mitigating non-market risks inherent in the electronic trading businesses
• Collaborating with business risk managers to deliver the risk and control agenda for the business

Requirements

• Operational experience in an electronic trading business
• Knowledge of financial services businesses, including investment banking
• Knowledge of financial services risk and control at different levels of an organisation
• A clear track record of delivery and the ability to work to deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics, or appropriate analytical qualifications
