Strategic procurement management: You manage EU-wide tenders (e.g., IT & Services) end-to-end and use the VgV (German procurement regulation) confidently as a design tool to achieve efficient solutions.
Active stakeholder management: You are the primary contact for the leadership team and business units. You prepare decision papers for executive management, coordinate organizational needs with project leads, and translate complex procurement requirements into clear, accessible language for all stakeholders.
Intelligent planning & monitoring: You translate annual objectives into clear milestones and implement a proactive early-warning system for thresholds and deadlines. This allows you to identify operational blockers early and ensure project success through targeted mitigation measures.
Process design & compliance: You develop binding guidelines and scalable workflows that translate legal requirements into smart, reusable processes.
People leadership: You take line-management responsibility for at least one team member in the Procurement team, support their development, and establish effective cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
Public procurement expertise: You have solid experience independently conducting EU-wide VgV procedures. You can structure complex specifications/SOWs so they meet the needs of agile teams while remaining legally robust.
Confident stakeholder advising: You advise the leadership team and business units as an equal partner — including in critical situations or during legal review/challenge procedures — and can translate complex legal matters into comprehensible language.
Strategic risk management: You spot critical deviations, act proactively, and independently develop solutions for the organization's strategic challenges.
Digital affinity & data competence: You are proficient with e-procurement tools, use dashboards and KPIs for transparent monitoring, and are eager to advance the digitization of our internal procurement processes through innovative tool approaches.
Initial leadership experience: You already have first-line leadership experience and are eager to take on broader team responsibility. You can translate area goals into clear work packages, delegate within the team, and support colleagues during implementation.
Language skills: You speak fluent German (C1) and English (at least B2). We use both languages in our daily work.
