Serve as the business steward and point of accountability for critical data elements across the commercial lending domain (e.g., borrower, facility, collateral, pricing, covenants, exposure)
Define and maintain clear business definitions, usage rules, and ownership for commercial loan data
Ensure data reflects the true business intent and operating reality of commercial lending products and processes
Identify where process gaps, manual workarounds, or inconsistent practices lead to data quality issues
Partner with business and operations teams to improve upstream processes that produce loan data
Help prioritize and resolve data issues that impact reporting, client experience, risk management, or regulatory obligations
Translate business requirements and pain points into clear, actionable guidance for downstream consumers of loan data
Participate in data governance forums related to commercial lending
Support data quality monitoring, root-cause analysis, and issue remediation efforts
Improve transparency and confidence in how commercial loan data is sourced, defined, and used across the organization
Requirements
7+ years of experience in commercial lending, such as origination, underwriting, credit administration, loan operations, portfolio management, or commercial credit risk
Strong, hands-on knowledge of the end-to-end commercial loan lifecycle and related processes
Ability to explain complex lending concepts clearly to both business and non-business audiences
Strong collaboration, influence, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability
