Provide a full range of medical services, practicing and prescribing independently.
The case-load will be split amongst the clinical team consisting of independent prescribing pharmacists, nurses and doctors, all of which hold similar consulting and prescribing responsibilities.
Provide compassionate care, upholding the highest standards of empathy, dignity and integrity in all actions.
Proactively contribute towards driving good clinical governance and quality improvement at all times.
Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems.
Assess the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems, In consultation with patients and in line with current internal guidelines, develop care plans for that patient.
Complete clinically related administrative and non-clinical duties needed for the delivery of the service.
Provide counselling and health education.
Refer and signpost patients for further opinions and interventions where required.
Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
Compile and issue computer-generated prescriptions, and on extremely rare occasions hand-writing prescriptions if required.
Prescribe in accordance with the Lloyds Pharmacy Online Doctor prescribing formulary whenever this is clinically appropriate.
Identify, reflect and prevent significant events and untoward incidents.
Participate in teaching and education as required.
Continue to monitor and review internal clinical guidelines to ensure they are updated according to national clinical guidelines, writing guidelines for new services.
Review and write clinical content for internal and external communication.
Active involvement in the research and development of services.
Attend meetings and education sessions as deemed necessary.
Ensure that the complaints system is adhered to at all times.
Ensure awareness and compliance with all relevant internal guidelines e.g. data protection, confidentiality and health and safety.
Attend training and events organised where appropriate.
Requirements
Independent Prescriber qualification
GPhc registration
Experience of effectively handling customer complaints
Energetic and empathetic communication skills
Excellent patient centred dispute management capabilities using first time resolution approach
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Teams
