Prepare CAD models specifically for subsequent CAE calculations
Apply relevant Aerostack and aeronautical standards and processes to the work
Prepare and release manufacturing drawings and essential engineering documents, such as Bills of Material (BOM)
Ensure adherence to the established part-numbering and release system
Support configuration management and the maintenance and refinement of best practices within SAP
Actively participate in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (D-FMEA) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (P-FMEA), emphasizing quality and safety elements
Coordinate the procurement, manufacture, and assembly of components, parts, and jigs and tools
Propose and support Validation and Verification (V&V) activities
Drive advancement of stack technology to achieve TRL 5 and beyond, supporting the industrialization of stack components
Coordinate, control, monitor, and document sub-work packages
Maintain close cooperation with the Component Responsible Engineer (CRE), project leads, and cross-functional partners (e.g., Supply Chain Management, Cost Engineering, Quality)
Continuously improve engineering procedures, design guides, and methods
Conduct patent and literature research relevant to fuel cell technology
Requirements
Master’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
While aerospace experience is a plus, candidates from the automotive, maritime, or commercial fuel cell sectors who are willing to adapt to aerospace standards are strongly encouraged to apply
Expert in CAD-based design of bipolar plates
Substantial professional background in fuel cell stack development
Proficient with 3D-CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, 3DEXPERIENCE)
Ability to understand and interpret results from FEM and CFD simulations
Competence in programming (e.g., Python)
Fluent proficiency in both English and German is required
