ECAD Engineer

Role Overview

• Manage the Harman EDM Library within Xpedition
• Create and manage cell information and symbols for different components in close cooperation with Component Engineering, Harware Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering
• Initial creation and maintenance of the Harman EDM library cells and symbols (Xpedition)
• Updating of EDM related information of components within PLM tool (Teamcenter) in close cooperation with part owners
• Working with global project teams (HW engineering, Component Engineering, Project Management, etc.) of new and existing HARMAN projects to achieve customer milestones
• Participation within problem solving meetings if EDM related data needs to be improved/corrected

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline
• Excellent understanding of electronic and mechanical components
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptionally self-motivated and directed while ability to work in teams and motivate others in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Demonstrated ability to coach and effectively influence team members and associates to adopt new ways of working in a virtual global environment
• Strong Problem solving/root cause analysis skills
• Risk-based thinking knowledge
• Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint
• Interpersonal skills
• Result Driven Mindset
• +3 years of experience in an engineering role (HW or ME)
• Experience in Xpedition, Team Center PLM Software, Mentor Graphics
• Knowledge and application of continuous improvement philosophies
