Bring software expertise to the T&E community within the Department of War.
Work as a key member of a small software team supporting OUSW Research and Engineering/Developmental Test, Evaluation, and Assessment (DTE&A) organization.
Support DoD Software Modernization and Coordination.
Develop comprehensive software strategies throughout the DoD acquisition lifecycle.
Coordinate with OUSD(A&S), OSD CIO/CDO, the Services, and other agencies software staffs as required.
Collaborate with stakeholders, DoD contractors, and independent consultants on technical assessments and provide actionable recommendations to mitigate risks and issues.
Analyze, characterize, and assess software development activities within acquisition programs.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree and 11-12 years of related work experience in software engineering and/or development.
Excellent writing and analytical skills
DoD secret clearance required; eligible for TS/SCI
U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
Familiarity with advanced or emerging technology areas, such as autonomy, artificial intelligence/machine learning, digital/model-based engineering, digital transformation, or data-centric operations.
Familiarity with current DevSecOps pipelines or supporting technologies, such as agile development processes and tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Gitlab, etc.) and containerization (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, etc.), CLOUD environments.
