About this role
Role Overview
- Design and implement our Kubernetes (ECS) platform on AWS
- Maintain and optimise our CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
- Implement and manage observability using Datadog across our platform
- Support and enhance our AWS cloud infrastructure
- Architect, review, audit, optimise and document our deployment processes
- Follow best practice change management processes aligned with our ISO27001 and PCI-DSS requirements
- Work with development teams to enable self-service capabilities (developer experience)
- Assist with incident response and platform support
- Analyse and optimize cloud costs across our infrastructure
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in a senior AWS platform/DevOps engineering role
- Experience designing AWS multi-region, highly available architectures
- Strong Kubernetes experience, particularly with AWS ECS
- Strong experience working with AWS ECS docker migrations
- Experience implementing and managing Datadog observability
- Strong AWS knowledge across compute, database and security services
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Solid understanding of container security and best practices
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash)
- Experience working in regulated environments (PCI-DSS preferred)
- Self-motivated individual with strong communication skills
- Ability to work on projects with multiple workstreams and competing deadlines
