Market Data Service, Analyst

Role Overview

• Provide independent commercial and operational oversight of Market Data Services
• Maintain market data inventory records within Optimize Spend
• Analyze and validate vendor invoices, managing corrections and contractual terms
• Support budgeting and spend analysis activities
• Assist with vendor management and contract reviews
• Act as a point of contact for vendor billing inquiries
• Support internal business partners with market data access

Requirements

• 2+ years in investment services industry, preference for index and ratings data experience
• Understanding of market data commercial models, invoicing structures, and vendor management principles
• Experience managing a market data inventory system (Optimize Spend preferred)
• Familiarity with major market data vendors: Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar, Refinitiv, Exchanges, Rating Agencies, research providers
• Ability to review and interpret vendor contracts and commercial terms
• Understanding of business drivers in investment management environment
• Knowledge of Broker Soft Dollar procedures is advantageous
• Strong proficiency in Excel
