About this role
Role Overview
- Provide advice covering solvency, economic capital, risk management, mergers and acquisitions, company restructuring and risk control
- Manage and deliver a wide range of concurrent actuarial and multidisciplinary assignments
- Interact with clients as the main point of contact on assignments
- Support strategic management and running of the practice
- Be involved in developing core product areas in risk and capital
- Develop and present training programs for graduates and staff
- Involved in the development of more junior staff through on-the-job coaching or mentorship
Requirements
- Relevant experience in risk and capital modelling
- Good understanding of commonly used capital modelling and risk management techniques
- Broader commercial awareness of the key issues faced by the market
- Ability to communicate complex, technical issues to senior management simply and incisively
- Experience in model development and implementation, and model validation
- Strong understanding of insurance risks and their dependencies or a strong desire to develop this focus
- Experience with Solvency II internal models, risk management, and capital modelling software packages (e.g. Igloo, ReMetrica, Tyche)
- Experience in managing regulatory relationships would be advantageous
