Manager, Enterprise Applications Management

Role Overview

• Serves as the area leader in the planning, design, configuration, and support for health system applications.
• Manages teams responsible for configuration, build, testing, implementation, system upgrades, model enhancements, maintenance, security practices, capacity planning, integration, hardware and peripherals, and support of the OSUWMC’s health system applications.
• Manages vendor relationships, creates disaster recovery plans, coordinates risk assessments and adheres to internal and external regulations.
• Coordinates major initiatives, including system upgrades, new implementations, expansion of use and breadth of application functionality.
• Manages projects involving high clinical/safety and/or business risk, scope, and impact to the organization; leads and facilitates strategic projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health, Computer Sciences or related field.
• 5 years’ experience in Application Technology leadership, Management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of various application technologies and tools.
• Strong skills in management and team building.
• High energy level and ability to quickly discern customers’ business needs.
• Deep understanding of hospital and/or clinical operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees, peers, executive leadership, customers, vendors and others.
• Strategic thinking and analytical skills.
