Serves as the area leader in the planning, design, configuration, and support for health system applications.
Manages teams responsible for configuration, build, testing, implementation, system upgrades, model enhancements, maintenance, security practices, capacity planning, integration, hardware and peripherals, and support of the OSUWMC’s health system applications.
Manages vendor relationships, creates disaster recovery plans, coordinates risk assessments and adheres to internal and external regulations.
Coordinates major initiatives, including system upgrades, new implementations, expansion of use and breadth of application functionality.
Manages projects involving high clinical/safety and/or business risk, scope, and impact to the organization; leads and facilitates strategic projects.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health, Computer Sciences or related field.
5 years’ experience in Application Technology leadership, Management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Fundamental knowledge of various application technologies and tools.
Strong skills in management and team building.
High energy level and ability to quickly discern customers’ business needs.
Deep understanding of hospital and/or clinical operations.
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees, peers, executive leadership, customers, vendors and others.
Strategic thinking and analytical skills.
