Serve as the on-site project manager for assigned Security projects, planning, executing, and completing projects in accordance with contractual requirements.
Collaborate with the Major Projects team and assigned Project Manager to align project objectives with scope, budget, schedule, and resource plans.
Coordinate daily communication with the Project Manager, customer, subcontractors, and other site contractors.
Perform daily site inspections to ensure quality, safety compliance, project integrity, and customer satisfaction.
Ensure execution of work aligns with Johnson Controls standards, policies, and contractual obligations.
Submit regular progress updates and field reports for integration into the master project schedule, including variance analysis.
Address site conflicts related to work sequencing, labor coordination, and unforeseen conditions.
Support risk management activities and assist the Project Manager in developing and implementing recovery plans when required.
Ensure project documentation and controls comply with contract requirements and Johnson Controls policies.
Communicate expectations clearly to subcontractors and ensure adequate staffing levels to maintain project schedules.
May serve as the on-site safety program coordinator and/or QA/QC lead.
Participate in project meetings, including scheduling, coordination, commissioning, and closeout activities.
Coordinate with Regional and Branch Leadership through the assigned Major Projects Project Manager to ensure adequate resources and support.
Requirements
University degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 6 years of related project management, construction supervision, or field leadership experience
Prior experience managing medium-complexity projects within the Security, low-voltage, life safety, or related construction environment
Strong coordination skills with the ability to supervise multiple on-site activities simultaneously
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Willingness and ability to deploy for extended periods (typically 6 to 18 months ) and travel up to 100% based on project assignment
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Writer, Visio, and Windows-based applications
Experience supporting or leading project scopes of $1M or greater
Must hold or be able to obtain required State Certifications for Security Alarm Systems
