Role Overview
- Manage the development, review, and checking of technical documentation, including verification of detailed design drawings, calculations, and compliance documentation.
- Work with Autodesk Inventor, MathCAD, AutoCAD, and FEA tools.
Requirements
- BEng (2:1 or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering within a highly regulated sector.
- Strong Knowledge of design for fabrication, welding and manufacturing tolerancing.
- Specification of heavy industry design experience such as offshore, oil and gas, construction equipment, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and structural engineering principles, including mechanical handling, design for manufacture and machinery design.
- Experience with MathCAD and FEA software (ANSYS, STAAD).
- Experience with Eurocode 3, BS EN 13001, BS EN 13155 or similar crane related standards is desirable.
- Experience with hydraulics and control systems is desirable.
- Sole UK nationals only.
- Must be eligible to gain SC clearance (can start on BPSS).
