Lead new generation truck projects from research to implementation
Lead all project management activities including concept & feasibility studies, review of technical product specifications, determination of project timing, analysis of project deliverables against pre-established targets, evaluation of budgeted resources vs. actuals, & present project status reviews to steering committees.
Lead project team in the US and Mexico.
Lead investigation efforts with global and cross-functional teams to define manufacturing requirements.
Provide manufacturing expertise in component assembly, vehicle assembly, vehicle operations, and various manufacturing processes.
Responsible for successful completion of Production-oriented Design workshops representing M.E. and Truck Manufacturing Plants.
Through concurrent engineering, identify production-related problems ahead of implementation into the plants and collaborate with design engineering to realize improvements.
Evaluate current assembly processes and assess capital investment plans for future production requirements.
Stay current on technological developments & generate new ideas and methods for optimization of systems & processes (Continuous Improvement).
Develop, maintain and present KPIs and reports to management.
Manage communication strategy at every level -
within teams, within the company, to users, and other audiences.
Accountable for meeting and exceeding project targets.
Requirements
BS/BA in Mechanical Engineering + 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent technical education from an accredited university/college.
Knowledge of ICE and EV manufacturing processes and product.
Experience with Manufacturing Control System (MCS) / Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams.
Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing, lean, process optimization methods and quality.
Proven ability to collaborate with engineering leadership to find creative options to deliver products on time and within budget.
Mastery of product development process and ability to manage competing priorities.
Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
Customer focus.
Ability to translate complex technical and architectural concepts into content for non-technical internal and external audiences.
At least 1 year demonstrated experience leading a team or project.
Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing change.
Must be well-organized, able to handle multiple, detailed tasks, and work professionally with various levels of DTNA management.
Advance to expert level of MS Excel and Power Point.
English: advanced (speaking, reading, and writing).
