Senior Analyst – Financial Reporting

Role Overview

• Responsible for preparation and analysis of quarterly financial reporting for stakeholders.
• Compilation of financial statement footnotes for NAIC reporting and audited statutory statements.
• Support NYSDFS inquiries and key regulatory reports.
• Completion of TIAA quarterly fluctuation reports for stakeholders.
• Perform analytical procedures over quarterly reports and resolve identified issues.
• Assist in preparation of various formal and ad hoc reporting requests.
• Maintain business partner relationships to assist in financial research.
• Maintain controls and documentation over financial reporting processes.
• Collaborate with offshore team members for timely completion of deliverables.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant experience in financial reporting or a related field.
• Proven experience in financial statement preparation and reporting.
• Experience in analytical reviews of financial statements.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally within a large organization.
• Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and SharePoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Experience working with internal and external auditors.
• Experience with Workiva reporting software.
• Knowledge of Insurance Statutory Accounting.
• CPA or actively pursuing CPA.
