Provide expert leadership over security governance, architecture, and risk decisions impacting mission-critical systems for the FirstNet program
Design, build, and own security automation and AI-enabled capabilities that reduce manual control execution, reporting, and risk analysis across the FirstNet security lifecycle
Design, build, Secure and maintain security control data and AI-driven security capabilities that improve efficiency, consistency, and visibility of the FirstNet security posture
Analyze large or complex data sets (e.g., vulnerability, configuration, telemetry, or operational data) to identify security trends, anomalies, and systemic risk
Perform security architecture and risk reviews for FirstNet platforms, services, and APIs, translating findings into implementable engineering and data solutions
Build and enhance backend services, pipelines, or integrations (hands-on development expected), to orchestrate automated security workflows, control checks, and data-driven decisioning, with minimal emphasis on user interface work
Drive secure delivery practices by contributing to and improving CI/CD pipelines, security-as-code patterns, data quality checks, and automated validation and evidence generation for security controls
Partner with engineering, product, and operations teams to operationalize security and data requirements into scalable controls, standards, and procedures supporting FirstNet
Brief leadership and stakeholders on cybersecurity posture, automation-driven efficiency gains, data-driven risk insights, and remediation progress.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science desired
At least 7 years of equivalent Cybersecurity experience
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing security automation (e.g., control checks, data ingestion, reporting, risk scoring, or remediation workflows) to reduce manual effort and improve operational scale leveraging AT&T available AI Technology
Strong hands-on experience with data analysis or data driven engineering, including working with structured and unstructured datasets to support security or operational outcomes
Advanced proficiency in Python and applied AI/ML, with experience using cloud native services (AWS and Azure) to build automations, intelligent analytics, and AI-assisted security workflows (e.g., Glue, Athena, QuickSight, Sagemaker, Bedrock, Power Automate, Copilot for Git and VS Code)
Working knowledge of databases, data models, and data processing concepts relevant to security analytics and reporting
Demonstrated experience improving engineering outcomes through CI/CD, automation, and disciplined code review practices
Lead at enterprise scale and translate data insights into actionable security decisions
Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, and CRISC
