Provide pre-sales technical sales for complex service provider networks
Craft solutions designed to meet and exceed customer business requirements
Manage the technical close and ensuring customer satisfaction with the technical sales process
Present and articulate the capabilities and values of HPE Solutions compared to competitors
Partner with HPE Account Managers in the Tier 2 Service Providers to qualify opportunities
Convert leads into successful engagements
Drive the customer technology decision process to closure
Own the customer technical decision maker
Create and define a Technology Roadmap for a Tier-1 mobility service provider
Interfacing with both internal and external/industry experts to anticipate customer needs
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s degree in engineering or related field, OR significant experience in networking technical and pre-sales activities roles
Minimum of 6+ years of technical professional, pre-sales/post-sales work experience
Expert level knowledge in routing technologies
Knowledge of routing protocols including MPLS, Segment Routing, BGP, etc. is a MUST
Experience in Security, Automation, Cloud/DC, Security, Network Virtualization
History of working with Service Provider networks in a technical/pre-sales role as a Sales/Systems Engineer and/or Network architecture role
Networking certifications (HPE, Juniper, Cisco, etc. e.g. JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CISSP, CCIE)
Knowledge and/or strong curiosity about network automation, network virtualization, agentic AI, and MCP
Knowledge in automation using e.g. Python, Ansible, Netconf-YANG, JSON, Openconfig, etc. is desirable
Experienced in creating solutions sales offerings spanning multiple product and service portfolios in a very competitive market
Effective, articulate communicator with strong customer-facing skills
