About this role
Role Overview
You are responsible for a global commodity group for raw materials such as vitamins, minerals, amino acids, flavors, and sweeteners
You analyze spend, cost drivers, market trends, and the international supplier landscape, and derive a sustainable global sourcing strategy
You build strong relationships with existing and potential new international suppliers and continuously develop these partnerships
You segment and evaluate suppliers based on quality, service, and cost-effectiveness, and conduct regular business reviews and executive meetings
You identify and realize global cost-saving opportunities and independently drive initiatives to increase productivity
You analyze data, identify optimization potential, and reduce complexity through standardization and consolidation at a global level
You work closely with international internal stakeholders and ensure that strategies, timelines, and objectives are optimally aligned
You develop and negotiate complex international tenders (RFX), manage contract negotiations, and consider price, delivery, service, and legal risks
You identify risks early, assess global price developments, and ensure sustainable supply security
Requirements
You hold a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Operations, or a comparable qualification
You have at least 3 years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in an international environment
You possess knowledge of relevant raw materials and ingredients
You have experience establishing and maintaining international supplier relationships
You demonstrate the ability to lead and influence cross-functional and international teams
Ideally, you have experience in the FMCG or food industry
You communicate confidently in English and, ideally, in German — both written and spoken
You work analytically and in a structured way and have strong project management skills
