About this role
Role Overview
Lead and deliver civil engineering design across complex built ‑ environment projects, including site development, drainage, pavements and access
Prepare and review civil design outputs, drawings and specifications, ensuring quality, compliance and constructability
Resolve design gaps and coordinate interfaces across disciplines within multidisciplinary project teams
Apply engineering judgement to address complex technical challenges on constrained sites
Support and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and constructive feedback
Contribute to planning and resourcing of design packages or workstreams within larger projects
Engage with internal stakeholders and project teams to support positive client outcomes
Promote safe, sustainable and compliant engineering design in line with industry standards
Requirements
Strong experience as a civil engineer within the built environment, ideally in a consultancy environment
Proven capability delivering civil design on building ‑ led or precinct projects rather than council ‑ focused planning works
Experience supporting or leading components of large, complex projects
Defence or defence ‑ adjacent project experience is desirable but not essential
Proficiency with standard civil engineering design software (e.g. 12D, Civil 3D or similar)
A collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly
Confidence working across multiple stakeholders and managing priorities
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
Working toward, or eligibility for, professional engineering accreditation is advantageous
